I was born and raised in France. I have done my higher education in Lyon and Montpellier. After graduating my PhD, I moved to Grenoble to work as a Researcher for ~3 years. Then I decided to move to the UK to get laboratory experience in a different country. I worked over 3 years at St George’s University of London. In 2015, I joined the University of Liverpool and I am now a tenured Lecturer in Physiology/Biochemistry in the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine.
I live with my wife and 3 daughters and I play Badminton in a club twice a week π

I teach Physiology and Biochemistry classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Part of my job is focused on research. I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanism of cardiovascular disease, more specifically cardiac arrhythmia and cardiomyopathies.
I am currently funded by the British Heart Foundation and my team is composed of one postdoctoral researcher and two PhD students.

I usually drop my youngest daughter to primary school at 8.50am and then drive to work. My typical day is 9am-6pm with a lunch break. I split my time between experiments in the lab, meetings, and office work (email, writing of proposal). On specific days, I also teach undergraduate/postgraduate students and supervise student lab projects.
