      It’s difficult to answer this without knowing what you mean by “types”.
      Gas is one of the four main states of matter. Sometimes, however, it is useful to model some substances as being “gas-like”, giving rise to Fermi and Bose gasses, which are composed of particles, like electrons. And when trying to model gasses, they can be treated “ideal gasses” or “real gasses”.

      Everything that exists can become a gas. The same way that water boils when you heat it above 100 degrees Celsius and it goes from liquid to gas. If you heat to very high temperatures and add a lot of pressure even your desk can become a gas!
